Lyrebird OpenAPI - FHIR Integration

Updated yesterday

Lyrebird Health is introducing an Open API, allowing electronic medical records (EMRs) to integrate with Lyrebird’s AI scribe, pull and push information to and from Lyrebird and improve the clinician’s experience while using the software.

Today we release the second such feature, Open FHIR Integration allowing any EMR to integrate with Lyrebird over the FHIR open standard.

The integration makes it easy to push upcoming appointments into Lyrebird, and write your notes back to the EMR.

Setup / Testing Instructions

FHIR Integration can be setup by first configuring it in API Settings:

1. Go to the Settings page in Lyrebird:

2. Open the API page:

3. Click ‘Set Up’ next to 'FHIR Integration':

4. Fill out the information, including the display name, that will be shown on the save to EMR button as seen in step 7.

5. Once the changes are configured, it will change to “Configured”

6. Now upcoming patients will be shown in the consultation page:

7. Once your consultation is complete, you can save consultation notes to the patient’s record by using the save to EMR button as shown:
