Updated over a month ago

Lyrebird Health has five main pages:

Consult | Dictate | History | Customise | Settings

History is the page in Lyrebird where your consults, documents & dictations will be temporarily stored.

When should you use History?

Being able to view your notes and documents in your History is useful for a few reasons, here are a couple:

  • If you have a busy day of back to back consults, and don't have time to transfer to your medical record, use Lyrebird's History as a temporary storage space.

  • If you have admin staff who generally write your letters or transfer your notes into your medical record, give them access to your Lyrebird account and they can log into your history and see your consultations / dictations appearing in real time.

How to save to your history?

Click Save patient when you finish a consultation or dictation.

How to access your history?

Once you have clicked save, Lyrebird will place that note or document into your History page. Your History page will look similar to this.

  • Past consults: This will include all of the notes that have been created using the Consult mode.

  • Past documents: This will include your dictations, or documents that have been created in the Consult or Dictate mode.

How long are the files stored in History?

By default, Lyrebird stores your files in the history page for 7 days. After this, the files are deleted from your account, and from our servers. We do this to protect you and your patients. All saved documents are stored on our Australian servers and encrypted at rest using 256 bit encryption.

Can I change how long my files are stored in the History?

To change the period of time your files are stored in the history, head to settings → profile and scroll down to When should Lyrebird delete saved items?. You can select anywhere from 1 day all the way up to 6 months.

Add upcoming patients

This feature allows you to create a list of expected patients for a day so you can seamlessly go from one consult to the next.

  • When an upcoming patient is selected in the sidebar, the patient name and sex fields are preloaded.

  • When you click the “Next” button after finishing a consult, the next’s patients details are automatically pre-loaded

You can use the blue 'add patient' button in the top right corner of History to add your upcoming patients. You can choose 'existing patient' or 'upcoming patient'.
