Lyrebird is compatible with major Telehealth platforms.
Phone Telehealth Consults
Lyrebird is able to be used for Phone Telehealth Consults when paired with a microphone.
For success, place your phone on speaker and relatively close to your microphone to ensure that transcript quality is high.
Video Telehealth Consults
Lyrebird is able to be used for Video Telehealth Consults.
We suggest having an external microphone to the computer as this will greatly assist with detecting the patient's voice. This can be a USB Conferencing microphone or webcam.
We suggest using this microphone that we have found great success with (it is also great for in-person consultations): Audio-Technica
Note: Sometimes, when using video conferencing applications, they can take priority access over Lyrebird for the microphone instead of 'sharing' the microphone. You can change these settings easily in your conferencing application settings.
Begin your Telehealth Consultation
For Telehealth consults using your computer, you can now isolate the audio from any service or video conferencing platform to ensure Lyrebird can hear both you and the patient even while using a headset.
Start your consult
2. Once the consent pop up appears, tick the Telehealth consult option and then "yes, begin" once consent is provided
3. Select continue to proceed
β
5. Select the tab where your Telehealth consult is running and ensure you enable "share audio"
β
4. You now can begin the consult as usual, This will allow Lyrebird to hear the audio directly from your Telehealth consult.
TIP: If the consent pop up does not appear, please go to settings > preferences and toggle off "Auto-accept consent popup"
