Getting Started with the Best Practice

Your first consult in Bp Premier: opening Lyrebird, saving in the right order, and finding your documents.

In Best Practice, Lyrebird opens from the patient file and saves your note straight back to it. Here's your first consult in Bp Premier, and the saving order that keeps your documents safe.

If you're interested in using Lyrebird with your team, contact our sales team.

Before you start

Your practice turns the integration on once, then you link your own Lyrebird account. See Setting up Lyrebird in Best Practice. Then read How do I use Lyrebird for a consult? for your microphone and consent.

Lyrebird is billed separately to Bp Premier. When you link your account, you move onto Bp Free automatically. See What is Bp Free?

Open Lyrebird from the patient file

  1. Open the patient's file and start the visit.

  2. Click the L button on the toolbar. The patient's name and sex are filled in.

  3. Record your consult as usual.

Each Lyrebird window stays linked to the patient you opened it from. Close it before you move to the next patient, and open a new one from their file. See Recording a consult in Best Practice.
