How can I import my Letterhead for Referral Letters?
This guide shows you how to import your clinic's custom letterhead into Lyrebird Health, so that referral letters or other documents are automatically formatted with your branding - ready to send without any manual formatting.
On Lyrebird, go to Customise → Bp Referral Letters
Click Import a Referral Letter.
Lyrebird will automatically search for the most recent referral letter sent from the patient's record.Review the letter that Lyrebird has captured.
If it contains your clinic's letterhead, you're ready to proceed.If not, click Choose Another Letter to browse your most recently sent letters.
Once you've identified the letter with your correct letterhead, click Use as a Template.
Give your template a clear name - for example, Gordon Street Medical Centre - so it's easy to identify later.
Press Next. Lyrebird will take a moment to import the template and will then automatically map each section of your letterhead, including:
Patient's medical problems
Medications
Allergies
Clinician account details
Once the import is complete, press Save and Exit.
If you have multiple users in your organisation, you can share this template with others at the same clinic so everyone benefits from the same branded letterhead.

As you work with referral letter templates, you can mark those you use frequently as favourites. This makes your most-used templates appear at the top of the search results, saving time when you need to generate letters quickly.
You can mark templates as favourites in two ways:
During a consult: When you select a referral letter template to generate, you can mark it as a favourite before creating the letter.
After a consult: When reviewing generated letters, you can mark the template as a favourite for future use.
Once marked as a favourite, these templates will appear at the top of your referral letter search results, making it faster to find and generate the letters you use most often.
💡 Tip: Build up your favourites over time based on the specialists you refer to most frequently. This helps streamline your document creation workflow.
