Getting started on mobile

When prompted to allow microphone access, tap Allow
Use Lyrebird exactly as you would on desktop - Consult, Dictate, and your custom templates are all available
Microphone tips for mobile
For best results, keep your phone on the table between you and the patient. Avoid keeping the phone in your pocket as this may muffle the audio and affect the transcript quality
The built-in microphone on most recent iPhones and Android devices performs well for standard consultations
If you're in a noisy environment, consider using a Bluetooth or wired external microphone
Do not lock your screen during a consult, this may cause the microphone to pause on some devices
Known limitations on mobile

Troubleshooting on mobile
Microphone permission denied on iOS:
Go to Settings → Safari (or your browser)
Tap Microphone and set it to Allow
Return to Lyrebird and refresh the page
Microphone permission denied on Android:
Go to Settings → Apps → Chrome
Tap Permissions → Microphone → Allow
Return to Lyrebird and refresh the page
Screen locks during a consult: Go to your device's Display settings and increase the auto-lock timeout to at least 5 minutes when using Lyrebird.
Audio cuts out mid-consult: This can happen if another app (e.g. a phone call) interrupts the microphone. Your consult will be saved up to the point of interruption - check your History to retrieve it. Here is a quick guide to help you retrieve a lost consult
How do I transfer to my medical record via my phone?
The most convenient way is to click "save" after conducting a consult or dictate (ensuring you have entered a patient name).
You will now be able to access that file on your laptop or desktop (a device that has access to your medical record) by logging into the same account, heading to History, and clicking copy. You can now paste into the medical record.
