The Upcoming Patient List feature streamlines daily patient management by allowing you to enter patient names and sex at the beginning of the day.
After each consultation, clicking "Next Patient" automatically pulls up the details of the next patient in line, enhancing workflow efficiency and minimising downtime.
This tool is designed to support you in providing timely and organised care.
Using a Lyrebird integration with your EMR?
If you use one of our integrations, the way you interact and setup the Upcoming Patient list will look different.
View our dedicated Help Centre articles for your integration to learn more:
Best Practice users do not use the Upcoming Patient, list as opening Lyrebird from BP automatically syncs the patient name & sex to the patient record.
How can I set this up?
Go to the Settings tab within Lyrebird and then to Preferences.
Toggle on "Show upcoming patient list when empty"
You will now be able to add in upcoming patients in your History, Consult or Dictate page.
Click the + button next to "Upcoming Patients." This will bring up a field where you can enter the patient details for the day.
Once you have added all the details, click "Add Patients" in the bottom right.
You will then see the names of your upcoming patients. To start a consult, simply click on the name of your first patient, and press Start Listening to begin.
Once you have concluded the consultation and generate the notes/documents you require, you can click "Next Patient" and you will find the next patient's details populated in the name and sex fields.
You are also able to drag and drop to change the order of the patients and add or take away as needed.
How can I remove a patient from this list?
To remove a patient who no longer needs to be seen or was added in error:
Find the patient in the Upcoming list
Click the Remove or Delete icon next to their name
Confirm the removal
Removing a patient from the Upcoming list does not delete any previously saved consults for that patient.
What if my patient list is in the wrong order?
You can drag and drop patients in the list to match the order your appointments are running.
Click and hold the line where the patient's name is
Drag them to the correct position in the list
Release to save the new order
Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions.
